The requirements are reviewed of «Guidelines on designing coal mines ventilation» pertaining to the limitation of the working face advance rate to 6 m/day when defining maximum allowable load on it on gas factor. Inadequacy of these requirements is shown on the limitation of the working face advance rate by way of example of mining of some highly efficient mines working areas. The ways are proposed of resolving the occurred disagreements during designing of high efficiency coal mines working areas.
