Practice of Radiographic Control for Process Piping Welded Joints
M.M. Gnedin,D.I. Galkin
The issues are reviewed in the Article pertaining to the application of radiographic control for process piping welded joints. Recommendations are given on selection of the control scheme and exhibits number. PB 03-585—03 requirements to quality assessment based on the radiographic control results are clarified.
Acoustic Emission Control of Technical Devices in the Operating Mode at Hazardous Production Facilities
V.N. Savelyev,D.V. Savelyev, A.P. Tishkin
Ensuring safe operation of hazardous production facilities is related to the identification of their actual technical condition and detection of cracks developed during working loads. The method of acoustic emission gives the most reliable information about the development (hazard level) of the defects in the process equipment. It is shown that acoustic emission control can be effectively applied along with the pneumatic and hydrotesting and in the operating mode of the vessels and process piping.
Coal Mines Explosion Protection
V.S. Shalayev,A.V. Shalayev,Yu.V, Shalayev
The condition of explosion protection for coal industry mines is described in the Article, and the assessment of shale and water barriers efficiency is given. Up-to-date requirements to explosion localizing barriers are formulated, explosion suppression automatic system «Start» is proposed.
Cable Explosion Proof Connector SKV 6-60
M.V. Grishin,V.A. Grishin, D.N. Maznev
Cable explosion proof connector SKV 6-60 used for connecting power flexible and armored cables with the voltage to 6 kW in the coal mines hazardous on methane gas and coal dust explosion, and in the open cast mining is given in the Article. It is shown that connectors SKV 6-60 comply with the current safety norms in coal and ore mining industry.
Identification of Rational Geometrical Sizes of Cylindrical Vessels with Reinforcing Rings Loaded by the External Pressure
M.G. Lagutkin,Z.E. Nekalin,G.M. Seleznev
The analysis of appropriateness of reinforcing rings installation on the cylindrical shells has shown decrease in metal consumption for the vessels operating under external pressure when the loss of the shell stability is possible. The Article is devoted to identification of the rational geometrical sizes of cylindrical vessels with reinforcing rings loaded with external pressure (discharge).
Analysis of Calculation Methods for Brick Chimney Bearing Capacity
P.N. Vats
Calculation methods of the design bearing capacity are reviewed in the Article. Comparison of stresses occurred in the stack walls calculated by different methods is given. The advantages are estimated of using software system SCAD for investigating effect of defects on the chimney.
Metal Quality Control of Welded and Bolted Connections, and the Federal Law «Technical Reglament on Buildings and Structures Safety»
V.M. Goritski
Interrelation of the Federal Law «Technical Reglament on Buildings and Structures Safety», and the quality of welded and bolted connections are reviewed in the Article. Ensuring metal structures safety is particularly actual in case of development there of delayed brittle destruction, which is manifested after some time upon welding or installation completion of the bolted connections. The factors are given, which facilitate delayed brittle destruction. The examples are given of manifestation of this hazardous type of crack formation and destruction.
Organizational and Methodical Problems on Implementing Provisions of Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation
I.I. Ryzhkin
Liability insurance problems of the self regulating companies members in the field of engineering survey, architectural and construction design, construction, reconstruction, capital overhaul of capital construction facilities are reviewed in the Article.
On-Site Inspection of Laboratory Technical Competence in Accordance with the Requirements of GOST R ISO /IEC 17025—2006
L.N. Tyutereva
Main provisions are reviewed, which should be followed during on-site inspection of the laboratory  technical competence in accordance with the requirements of GOST R ISO/IEC 17025—2006.
